It's in one of three places...front engine block (5.0v8), rear engine block (4.0 pushrod v6), left valve cover (4.0 SOHC v6). Look again, it IS there. Has wires on it. Goes right into engine.

i read its on the back of the block, but is it under the upper intake, or on the back near where the tranny? im probaly looking at it and not even realizing it.

I have the 4.0 SOHC so mine is on the left valve cover. It was easy to spot. If your's in on the back of the block, you might have to remove something to get at it. Why do you need to get to it? Are you replacing it? If so, just buy the new one, then you'll know what you're looking for.

computer test, at ford dealership, it came up cylinder identification sensor, but i was told it was th cps. thats why i wanna find it and have it tested. i really cant afford to take it back to the shop, cant really afford the new sensor either, but have to fix it.
