I FINALLY got my Jacob's ignition on my '98 express 1500. I don't have the new plugs and wires installed, but we took it for a quick spin anyway.
The right exhaust manifold glows cherry red when it is pushed a little. It was after dark and the glow was quite noticeable with the motor cover off.
Maybe I need those export pipes SOON!

The plugs/wires on this bank(the right/passenger side) were REALLY worn. The van has 98xxx miles. I expect the O2 sensor is also fried. Now if I could just find out what they did on the export models. This van has 4 o2 sensors and 2 are after the cats. If the exports had no cats, then SOMETHING was done about these two sensors.
I wish someone out there had the answer. :evillol:
