Skyline Owners In brisbane/GolcoastMark0 01-17-2002, 08:15 AM Where are we all, all these posts in here from vic, nsw, canberra, we got to make a showing ;) on a serious note where and what price am i looking at for a front mount for a gts-t r33, and what engine modds do i need to accomidate this thanks all Slip 01-17-2002, 07:16 PM Mark0 mate, rock on onver to www.skylinesdownunder.co.nz - rip into the forums. They are back online, and will be full force soon. skylinesdownunder = SDU. Gary and myself recently organised an SE QLD SDU cruise, people from goldie, brissy and sunshine coast came, 21 cars all up, it was great. There are a few of us doin the gold coast run on saturday night. slip@alloymail.com if you wanna tell me your mobile number. You need no engine mods for an fmic - just the hardware. Gary and revhead (marc) both have R33 GTS25t with exhaust, bleed valve, and pod filter, and go well. Turbo upgrade and fmic is next on the list i think. Get boost control in either the bleed valve, or a proper boost controller, and a boost guage - you can wick it up to 14psi - but you may need to regap the plugs so it doesnt blow the spark out. Front and rear strut braces also improve the handling. Mark0 01-17-2002, 10:35 PM I have already got suspension work done got bilsteins in it and after market springs so my car can take an intercooler as is can you recommend anywhere or what cooler and turbo upgrade ??? u mean change it Slip 01-18-2002, 04:22 AM Yeh, you can bolt another turbo on (usually bigger :D) to the manifold - if it is suitable. Otherwise if you use a turbo that does not bolt to the original manifold you can get new exhaust manifold. Maybe even just a new flange... You can use a GTR intercooler, or buy a kit from apexi, hks, greddy etc. You can get them 2nd hand, and cheaper. You will new piping too - which you can get in a kit with an intercooler, or get it made up. Your car HAS an intercooler. Its a crappy small one, at the front left behind the front bumper. Strut braces are something you add (except on some cars, but thats rare for a car to have strut braces stock) and will compliment the suspension mods you have done. This is what they look like. http://www.users.bigpond.com/maytech/worx/bar2.jpg This is how they go on > http://photos.yahoo.com/___scythe___ > the front on pics of the whole engine bay show it clearly. Some of em are quite cheap. Under $200 for mine (R31) - then youve got your high end ones in carbon fibre, or in a big brand name. Mark0 01-18-2002, 07:53 AM i already got one man here is my bodge web page of my car tell me what else yah recon BLUD 01-18-2002, 07:53 AM Ello Just bought my crisp white R33 GTST Today :D :D :D :D Yes... very happy with the car!!!!! And I'm on the Goldy! I would not mind going for a cruise sometime - just wanna fit an alarm and ditch the jap stereo (one can only bear cassettes and opera radio for so long - without getting a FM tweak) cya'll round sometime! cheers, Brett  Mark0 01-18-2002, 05:24 PM cool man gota love the jap stereo in em.....tryin to find all the stations thats the first thing i did changed it for a pioneer head unit :flash: send us some picks when u get em of the car Revhead 01-18-2002, 08:04 PM I'm an Ipswich lad, just like Gary :finger: (hehe sorry mate couldn't resist) I've got a series 1 GTS25t in wine red, with 3" exhaust, pod filter, wastegate bleed. With a full tank of fuel, full stereo and shit tyres it ran 14.1@101mph (crap launch). Stereo is Pioneer head unit, Alpine 6.5" splits, Sony 6" 2 ways in the back, 4x50W cheapie running inside speakers, Kicker 15" sub run by Rockford Fosgate 250m2 monoblack amp (bridged). I'll probably be down the coast tonight with Gary and slip but as a passenger... 6000km in 4 weeks sorta takes a bit of your enthusiasm... Slip 01-18-2002, 08:53 PM Dude, ill give you $2 when we are down the gold coast. If that doesnt make you enthusiastic, i dont know what will. Merli ran 16.6 @ 95mph i think, and then a 14.4 or something. Note to everyone : revhead can DRIVE. Dude, you got the new treads on lets see some 13s loving :D Me = passenger R31 = slow Gaff tape = possibly not well recieved by cops, even tho its nismo. Pigs are blitzin m1 and gold coast tonight. Mark0 01-18-2002, 10:10 PM You guys can pick me up one night :) and head to the coast so i can have a peek if i wanna take my car there or not :) Slip 01-19-2002, 01:18 AM whats your phone number micko?????? 0411870159 is me, ring me tonight after 9pm if you want.
