I am looking to buy a 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo. I was wondering what the performance figures are for it. 0-60, 1/4 Mile, etc. Also the horsepower and torque. Also, I heard of a performance chip that increases the horsepower around 20 hp. Anyone know where I can get one of these, how much they cost, and how easy they are to install. Thanks!

Hmmm...I just don't recall all the details anymore. I know C&D said in 1994 that the 850 Turbo was the fastest automatic sedan on the planet at the time with 0-60 of 6.1 seconds. '95 might have been a smidge slower due to OBD II. (I had a '94 850 Turbo for a few years before moving on to a S70 T5 --> S80 T6 --> S60R.)

There are plenty of chips available through IPD/TME, Chiptuning, BSR, etc.

For detailed information I suggest you spend some time on the 850 forum at www.swedespeed.com, www.brickboard.com, or www.vvspy.com (there are several other Volvo boards out there as well.)
