Something a Little Different

I thought i'd step away from cars for a bit and draw a bike. This is WIP of a '75 Harley Low-rider. This will take me more time than the cars, because of the high detail level. It took about 6 hours for the outline. Up to date, i have spent around 9 hours.

I don't think art should be judged by how long it takes.

It should be judged by the result.

Sure it took him 9 hours, but I now of plenty of people who could try and try and not produce something like that in 9 hours.

Re: Something a Little Different

time shud be taken into consideration for one reason and thats cos things turn out better the more time u spend on anything (and plus this guy practically traced the outline)... like i sed im not bringin this guy down ..far from it.. i admire his patience..and relative skill ,but im sayin with 20 hours on hand a lot of the others users who posted pretty decent stuff cud do just as well if not better

That is completely false. I have seen people here spend as much as 40hours on drawings and they still look bad. Some people just arent artists, and no matter how long they spend on a drawing it still wont look great. Not to mention you have to have the eye for detail and reflection. I myself have spent hundreds of hours on drawing cars in color and I still cant. Its not an issue of time at all, its and issue of skill, and natural talent.
