No gas on May 19th

There is a movement to shock the US oil companies. It is simply to not buy any gas on May 19th(next Wed). I do not know if this will work. But I am mad enough at what I think is price goughing by the US oil companies. They all recorded record profits last quarter while we all paid exorbitant prices for gasoline.
And what can it hurt?
Just an idea that I am passing along.

Well the media says that the boycott was a bust. But here in Indiana the gas companies brought their prices down to $1.91 from $2.02. And the story in the Indianapolis Star said that most stations were doing ALMOST normal business with the lower prices.
Then today(Thursday)they raised the prices to $2.13! Nice.
But it still looks to me that they were noticing the boycott.
