Schumachers biggest threathakka 01-16-2002, 09:34 PM who do you think is schumy's biggest threat next season....I'm thinking Montoya, or maybe Raikkonen. who do yall think? ales 01-17-2002, 05:35 AM I think that Ralf will give him a good run. But it all dependson the car... I'm, for some reason, quite confident in the new Ferrari. And BMW has a lot of money, so they could be up there... Sham365 01-17-2002, 11:13 AM That's a bad mamma jamma! darkstar 01-20-2002, 11:52 AM i dont think raikkonen will be a "threat" to schumacher as far as the title is concerned.. im thinking montoya more than ralf if you look at how the end of last season shaped out with those 2 drivers. montoya's driving got a lot more mature and concentrated towards the end. and, then theres coulthard, but he lacks consistency. so i think montoya.. ImportFreak 01-28-2002, 10:37 PM Montoya or Ralf.. BMW ALL THE WAY!!!! Neutrino 01-30-2002, 12:40 AM maybe Ralf but onestly i think schumacher will have no competition this following season. Ps. Ferrari rules:sun: You live! :):):) NSX 02-06-2002, 09:00 AM i doubt Ralf can even beat Montoya i'm thinking Villeneuve if BAR gives him a decent chassis RCer 02-06-2002, 09:21 AM Montoya and Kimmi, the two Hotshots of the season!!!! They are young, and they are hungry for victories. I still think Michael will win this and next year, but definetely, the biggest threat will come from the youngers drivers. Montoya had proven to be an un-intimidated driver as Villenue also is, and he has proven to be talented. Given BMW will be reliable this year, he will be there. Let's see what Ralph can do with his new lenses. Kimmi has already beat DC on the practices, in a car that he does not know very much, with a team he is new and just starting to work with, so, he will be there too. BAR, I really don't think will be there, as far as Reynard been the chassis maker, don't think so. Jaques better to look for other ride for next year. Expect the BAR to be poor, yet again, and the Jag to be worse. Schumi will be challenged by whoever comes out on top between Ralf and Montoya, though i wouldnt count out Coulthard one little bit. He has what it takes to take the challenge to Schumi, but only if he has a good car and the team is 100% behind him, which would be a first. However, BMW are rumoured to have overtaken McLaren, who seem to have had problems with their engine, so this scenario could be doubtful. Although he wouldnt figure in any title battle, its a shame Jos The Boss has lost his drive for 2002-03, i think it's disgusting that Bernoldi kept his drive instead because rich-boy doesnt get paid to race  Overall, i have no doubt Schumi will become a record equalling 5-time world champion and rack up 7 wins at the very least next season. cheers, jay NSX 02-13-2002, 09:03 AM hmm...i'm only hoping for a maricle with BAR and villeneuve i still think raikonnen has potential to beat shumacher, if he has a decent car near ferraris crayzayjay 02-13-2002, 02:27 PM i think that statement is simply wrong to make. a rookie with one season under his belt already being compared to possibly the greatest F1 driver of all time, even if it is just potential you are talking about. its still early days so please let it rest. besides, he got outraced by his team-mate Heidfeld, i think he's the one who should have got the McLaren contract; Ron Dennis is a jerk cheers, jay NSX 02-15-2002, 09:12 AM Originally posted by crayzayjay i think that statement is simply wrong to make. a rookie with one season under his belt already being compared to possibly the greatest F1 driver of all time, even if it is just potential you are talking about. its still early days so please let it rest. besides, he got outraced by his team-mate Heidfeld, i think he's the one who should have got the McLaren contract; Ron Dennis is a jerk no way....raikonnen kept failing b/c he drove his car to the max, and (was he driving for benetton last season?) his car kept failing him crayzayjay 02-17-2002, 09:00 PM come on...... how can you make such hearty comments when you clearly know nothing about the subject? Raikkonen was driving for Sauber NSX 02-18-2002, 09:02 AM are you referring to me? sauber was very under-funded compared to teams like Ferrari and Mercedes just to name a few crayzayjay 02-18-2002, 03:16 PM sauber was very under-funded compared to teams like Ferrari and Mercedes just to name a few uhhh... whats your point? i was just pointing out that you seem to be in a poor position to judge Raikkonen when you dont know what car he drove last season... seems a little strange to me cheers, jay NSX 02-19-2002, 11:37 AM ah...i mix up sauber with benneton someimte b/c i don't really pay attention to the team...just the driver Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
