suzuki swift electrical problemstupidfatrat 05-13-2004, 06:38 PM i've got a 94 swift with a 1.0L engine and a 5 speed. my problem is that i went to start the car and when you turn the key forward the warning lights should come on to test for a few seconds then go off and i've got no warning lights coming on at all. also the car won't start, it just cranks. i checked the fuses and the ignition fuse is blown. every time you put a fresh fuse in and turn the key forward the fuse blows instantly. Any ideas or thoughts on where to start diagnosing this would be helpful. Thanx. mech0t0 05-14-2004, 11:46 PM You have a short circuit somewhere in your car. There could be a metal ring (fallen off from the cigarette lighter/ Cell car charger) in the cigarette lighter hole. mahala 09-09-2005, 08:34 PM my GTi 92 model is doing exactly what yours done but its flattening the battery too. did you fix the prob? please reply asap. joehere1 11-16-2005, 03:59 PM i have a 96 with the same problem im working on it now anyone know what else runs on that circut or where i can find a wiring diagram joehere1 11-16-2005, 04:01 PM far as i know the cigarete lighter is on acc circut and shouldnt interfere with the ignition but il take a quick look vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
