I am in the process of buying a 1972 Chevelle. I need a few parts for it; passenger seat, upholstry, body panels, and some other parts. I need a good website where I can find these parts. All help will be appreciated.

Also, another thing. I really want wide back wheels........anywhere from 12"-18"

How does this combination sound, tell me if it would fit too lol.

These rims in 17"for the back, and 15" for the front and these tires in the back with these in the front.

umm i would have to say that will look like crap. why do you want 17's in the back and 15's up front. why not just put the same size all around, except for the width anyway. if your going to put 17's on it put 17's up front too. i would personaly just run 15's. and im asuming you are planning on tubing the rear. cuz there is no way you will be able to get over 12 inches of rubber in there, and even then you might have to do a little finagaling. personaly i like the rims though. my dad has a set of the original crager ss on his 67. i think they are one of the best looking rims.

Well, how can I get a raked look with the same size rims?

first, what the hell is raked? and second of all any kinda of look your talking about can probably be done with suspension.

and if you dont know what tubing is then you are not going to get anything bigger than maybe a 12 inch wide tire in there. you need to get the car first. then jack up the back of the car. then take a wheel off. then look at how much room you have. just becuase they have tires that are 18 inches wide doesnt mean you can put them on your car. also that would mean you must have rims with the correct back spacing and width for a tire what wide to fit.

There is more than enough room for a tire that wide. We re-constructed the wheel wells to fit a tire of that size.

I don't understand tubing, please explain. I know there are drag tubes.....is that what you are talking about?

What is the back spacing.....the rims lip on the backside?

yes, those are the tubs im talking about. the back spacing is the distance from the back side of the flange where the wheel touched your brake drum, to the inner most edge of the rim. if you have a summit catalog look in the rims and tires section it explanes it there.

what did you do to the wheel wells? im curioue cuz it would take quite abit of work to get an 18inch wheel in there, and usable. you have to make sure you have plunty of room up in the wheel well so you dont rub when the suspencion moves.

oh by they way you do realize those tires you posted, the ones you want to use on the rear, dont have anything listed for 17 inch rims.

Yes, I realize that now lol. I am looking into a smaller rim or a larger tire.

Well, I have a tall and stiff suspension. The wheel wells were just cut out and replaced with a set of Jegs wheel wells that I extended. I have like....1.5' of truck room, but big back tires lol.

I don't understand why you want 15" tires in the front and 17" in the rear either. I can understand wanting wider tires in the rear and narrower in the front but not taller unless you are going for a funnycar look. Maybe I am not understanding what you are saying or what you are after.

ya i think that different hight size tires would look like crap

I have a 67 454 400 combo pullin a little bit of power.... any kinda of ride you want you can get with suspension upgrades, but i would recomend lowering it in the front and lifting it in the rear. i have different size wheels on mine and i think it look great, it runnin 14x8 ijn the front and 17x12 in the rear. of course these are custom rims but they look great. if its ur daily driver tho u would really want to do it with suspension.

my car i bought 2 years ago and i built both the engine and the tranny from the ground up in my garage, i redid al the suspension myself front and rear, and i redid the interior myself.... im only 18 so i mean anything you want to do to your car you can do as long as ur willing in put int the time and money.
