I can buy a '94 Supra TT (tuned to 450 HP). However I'm a bit worried is this car a bit too old. It suppose to be in a good condition however 50 000 mls and those 8 years...
The price is about 20 000 $

Actually that doesn't sound like too bad of a deal. Granted I'm not sure what the current exchange rate is, but it's a Toyota so it'll run for a looooong time. The MKIV Supras were overengineered so they can take some punishment, but I would definately have someone (mechanic) check it out very thoroughly first. If it checks out okay then I don't really see any reason not to get it. I'd also get the title checked out to make sure it has never been wrecked. Good luck either way :D

wow!!! That's an amazing deal!!
the age number doesn't really mean anything, the MKIV generation is VERY RELIABLE. and it only has 40,000 miles! I'd pick that up in a second

that's actually exactly what i'd be looking for

a 94-97 supra with low mileage, perfect

First of all thanks a lot for your answer. I'm waiting to sell my Z3 and then buy this Supra. The Supra is here in Poland and it's been imported from US or Canada.
Supras in Germany are damn expensive and hard to find. As I wrote it's already tuned up to 450HP on weels and the only mods I wanna do are the areadynamics and wheels. I already checked the Bomex and Veilside (gorgeous designs but 30-40% more expensive than the others). I must admit, The F&F Supra inspired me :)

How hard to find Supras in Poland? Im just surprised cause u are not the first Polish who has a Supra. There are couple other dudes from Poland on Supraforums.com who drive Supras. I mean Supras aint that easy to find here in the US and W-Europe. I thought it would be quite hard to find in Poland.

Supras together with Mitsubishis 3000GT and some other cars have been mass imported by private buyers from US and Canada as the emigrant property (don't know the proper english term for that) in the early ninetees. That ment no import tax. However polish government changed the law and all this private import just died out.

Polish government is still forcing the laws and taxes to stop people from importing used cars from abroad and buy them from the local dealers or producers. And that can be pretty expensive if you want something over the average. Used cars from f/e Germany are better equiped and less in price. That's why I would rather buy a cool 2-3 year BMW, Mercedes or Audi rather than lame version of Daewoo, VW, Ford or Nissan for the same price.

Sure if you'll search hard enough you find a Supra. The question is about it's condition. Remember it's been a while since they arrived here. Polish roads are not allways first class. Many cars are after serious crashes. Supra is a fast car and I can not risk my life buying technicaly suspicious car.

That's nothing for a Supra!!!

I've seen 900hp Supras with STOCK internals.... they have really strong engines

if you just put on a couple simple mods... downpipe, exhaust, etc. you'll be over 400hp in a supra

Heck just a freakin exhaist can give u extra 60hp or so, heh. Supras are probably the easiset to modify and gain lottsa power from them.

This is what interests me about Supra's, and thats why I want to get one. Still I don't understand on how it is possible to gain so much HP from simple MODS....is the engine just designed to be moded or are people buying top of the line products?

they're just great over-engineered engines.... i've seen an 800hp Supra with a STOCK bottem end
that's impressive! the engine is very strong

think of it like this, that 94 supra with 50k miles would be around $27-29k if it was a 6spd, and around $23-25k if it was an auto here in the USA right now, so you are getting a good deal. The only thing you really have to do to make sure its running right is do a compression test and check all pumps and major parts. If compression test comes out fine, buy that shit. definately worth it
