180sx progressSeCrEtMoDdEr 05-10-2004, 06:10 PM right, if theres anything wrong, which they're probably is, tell me, cuz at this stage, i can still fix stuff. i still dont have the whole proportion thong nailed, so if something looks wrong, tell me. sorry bout the smallness of this first one http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/2/web/518000-518999/518254_45.jpg http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/2/web/518000-518999/518254_44_full.jpg GAMsALeh 05-10-2004, 06:16 PM It looks ayte with me. How did you get it to fit the page like that? all you need to do now is to add the wheels and mirrors. Looking good man, keep it up. :) Mshkttck 05-10-2004, 06:16 PM It needs to be wider and a little longer. Use a bigger piece of paper to accomidate the size. GAMsALeh 05-10-2004, 06:20 PM I think the measurments are right Mshkttck. It's just that the drawing is nearly touchin both sides of the page, that's what makes it look as if it's squished a little. :) SeCrEtMoDdEr 05-10-2004, 06:37 PM yah, i made the front lower and i think it looks wider now, i think i got it to fit the page with luck, i guess...ill get a pic, oh i just did it quick, i made the front smaller and i forgot to lower sum things, but you can get an idea that it looks better i think... http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/2/web/518000-518999/518254_46_full.jpg GTmike400 05-10-2004, 06:38 PM right, if theres anything wrong, which they're probably is It doesnt have wheels. Anyway, your are really good at laying down the lines of a car. asaenz 05-10-2004, 06:45 PM Cool Very accurate lines Peops already mentioned the paper being too small I cannot wait to see this one shaded. :iceslolan Alfred SeCrEtMoDdEr 05-10-2004, 06:55 PM thnx everyone, my biggest problem is proportions and making the car fit in the paper, my next drawing will be on big poster paper or something, and maybe that'll make it easier... unfortunately, its guna take a while for this to get done cuz i get distracted easily and i get bored of my projects, so dont expect it too be done soon OH MY crap, i dont have wheels on it, :o thnx for pointing it out mike, i'll be SURE to fix that... thank you haha, Mshkttck 05-10-2004, 07:26 PM The far side of the hood should be a little flatter, it's too round. Oh, and the headlights are a little small. Great job so far, I can't wait 'till you're done! BTW sorry if I'm too much of a perfectionist SeCrEtMoDdEr 05-10-2004, 07:44 PM i love perfectionists, im fixing all of the problems i see and the ones you guys pointed out.. thnx Mshkttck 05-10-2004, 08:16 PM In the reference pic, the top of the headlights is higher than the top of the wheel well. In the drawing, it is not so. Also, the foglight is too big. Next is the far side of the front lip. In the reference pic, if you follow along the angle on the top of the lip, it alighns with the far side of the windshield. In the drawing it is too stubby. Also, the trunk is too low in the drawing. Did you forget the mirrors and the door handle? AnsisK 05-10-2004, 08:17 PM I think the wing should be redone, like mentioned. Also something else, when you compare front overhangs between yours and the reference's, yours has less. Just a lil' suggestion. KustmAce 05-10-2004, 08:24 PM Definately too short. Blame the paper size for that on. Looks good though, cant wait to see more progress. SeCrEtMoDdEr 05-10-2004, 08:51 PM alright, i fixed the headlight , and the foglight, i dont understand the problem with the front lip, and yes, i still have to draw the door handle and the mirrors, and the rims... i did not forget, lol...still gotta do the trunk and the spoiler, THANX for all this, im lovin it. haha makes me realize how much i still have to work to become better... meh GTmike400 05-10-2004, 08:57 PM OH MY crap, i dont have wheels on it, :o thnx for pointing it out mike, i'll be SURE to fix that... thank you haha, Come on Dommy. You cant drift very well with out wheels. AirAllen01 05-10-2004, 09:16 PM Angle the windsheild back just a tiny bit more. Take a ruler and measure across the car from the back wheel well to the front wheel well and you'll notice that the front is just barely higher than the back. Take a ruler across your drawing and figure out the height of the two wheel wells by that. Raise the back wheel well a little bit, and lower the front wheel well a little bit. That should help on the problem with the headlights being too low also. On your back end...the reason the car looks a bit "squished" is cuz you need to angle the back end in some more and also the angle of the bottom line is a bit high. Just barely, and I mean barely lower that back end a bit...not the top of the back end, that's ok...just the bottom line. That will give the car that low, mean look like it has in the picture. Other than that, it looks great so far. You have proportions down great though. Keep up the good work, hope to see it finished soon. SeCrEtMoDdEr 05-21-2004, 06:34 PM ok, see how long it takes me to do something... haha ok, heres the outline, once again if anythings wrong then tell me be harsh, im talking to you bonzelite ok, here it is http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/2/web/518000-518999/518254_49_full.jpg sumthing wrong with the back wheel, gotta fix that, oops Mshkttck 05-21-2004, 07:03 PM much better. Just change the rear wheel. ImolaEK 05-21-2004, 08:28 PM Nawice to see you drawng Dommy. I really like how this is coming out mango. I think everything is fine with the car except for the rear wheel, front right light, and the rear window, and the trunk (how it comes down with the window/spoiler< yea, like i made anysense  . castback 05-21-2004, 08:35 PM i wouldn't fix the back wheel. all 180's have horible camber now-a-days....its that dang drifting.... :disappoin lol Ran 05-22-2004, 10:35 AM Looks good! Jeep_Rubicon 05-22-2004, 03:08 PM um... i have a quik question, whats better a 180sx or a 240sx? i dont noe too much bout these cars... SeCrEtMoDdEr 05-22-2004, 03:10 PM to my knowledge, the 180sx and 240sx are the exact same thing...the 180sx is just a japanese version of the 240 GTmike400 05-22-2004, 03:28 PM Looks good Dommmy. As far as differentiation between a 180SX vs. a 240SX is the motor. The 240SX (American) has a KA24DE instead of the 180SX (Japanese) SR20DE motor. Also one is LHD and the other is RHD. tweak_hp 05-22-2004, 05:31 PM sr20det actually....its about 60 hp more...but most people with a 240sx save up for the engine swap..like me...i wish i had a job tho. SeCrEtMoDdEr 05-22-2004, 05:32 PM its funny, does anyone know the nissan nx??? it comes with an sr20de motor, weird cuz its such a non aggresive kind of car yeh, i knew there was summthing with the motor, just didnt know the exact difference... thanx mikey mike and tweak Jeep_Rubicon 05-22-2004, 09:00 PM that clear things up. ImolaEK 05-22-2004, 10:19 PM i wouldn't fix the back wheel. all 180's have horible camber now-a-days....its that dang drifting.... :disappoin lol Sorry i mean't the rear rim :loser: Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
