Unhappy Removing Rear Tail Light Assembly

How do I remove the rear tail light asssembly ('96 Corolla); I need to replace bulbs?

Open trunk and remove two screws that hold trunk trunk liner near rear light assembly you wish to move. There will be one or two nuts you have to remove from the light assembly that you cannot see because the trunk liner has them covered. After removing the nuts slowly start removing light assembly. The assembly has a peg or rod that will resist your attempt at removing the assembly. This rod is held by a friction fit but it will work out. I assist removal by using a screw driver to pry with. But be gentle. When removed you will have access to the individual bulbs.
