and you americans thought you had it badDeleriousZ 05-06-2004, 06:47 PM wasn't sure where else to put the thread.. but here it goes... i've heard people bitching about gas prices(who doesn't these days) and i totally agree... they're getting rediculous.. it's what.. like 2.15 per gallon down there? somethin around that? sure that sounds bad.. until you come up to where i live.. here it's 90.5 cents per liter.. convert that to gallons.. that's just under $4 a gallon!!! the worst part is.. we all have to pay for it... just had to get that out... i want to break something every time i look at the price towers:banghead: Ravenscool 05-06-2004, 07:12 PM wow, thats bad...even for premium I haven't paid more than $1.97 a gallon yet...if it gets over $2 I might have to get another job. SiGNAL748 05-06-2004, 09:21 PM where are you from delerious93integra? Ace$nyper 05-06-2004, 09:30 PM damn thats sucks 1.87 on my last fill up here in PA where you from matey down there i'm going to assume Canada i'm soo sorry lol j/p DeleriousZ 05-06-2004, 09:46 PM kelowna bc canada... don't be talkin smack.. i'll get my beaver to attack you Tranzlogic 05-07-2004, 11:00 AM 1.85 most places here in Richmond Va GAS AND GO BABY Ace$nyper 05-07-2004, 11:28 AM kelowna bc canada... don't be talkin smack.. i'll get my beaver to attack you HAHAHAH someones sore bout the leafs losing eh? j/p i can't help it Sk8erprelude 05-11-2004, 09:43 AM You think that is bad i filled up with premium yesterday and it was almost $50.00 to fill up in calgary,ab. I could have filled up with $35.00 before. They take out the oil/gas from this province then send it elsewhere to get refined and they bone us with huge price "taxes" on fuel. Lame. In Venezula it is 5 cents a litre. harsh. juicy19 05-11-2004, 09:50 AM I had to fill up last week and the premium was at $2.16/gallon. It jumped bad. Before that, I hadn't spent over $2/gallon. BTW, I'm from the suburbs of Chicago ghost94 05-11-2004, 10:04 AM It is getting harsh down here in fl. For sure our average is high as far as I can tell, as a whole but today on the way to work!, I Pulled up to a pump that did not have a single grade below 2.08 that put SUPER at 2.28 a gal. in Delray beach. The idea if using that toulene as an octane booster sounds better with every fill (5 gal af super + 3 gal of toulene = approx 99 octane @ a net price of 2.36 a gal.) especially with a turbo DeleriousZ 05-11-2004, 05:31 PM yeah.. how's the snow down there in calgary? i heard u guys got a few inches the other day  what are you paying for regular? it's 91.9 here now.. that's cents per Litre hybrid180 05-11-2004, 06:41 PM that $4 per gallon, is that in Canadian dollars or U.S. Dollars? I calculated 90.5 per liter is about $3.50 per gallon. If that was Canadian Dollars converted to U.S. Dollars it would be about $2.50 per gallon. I live in Cali and the premium here is just about that price... so not horrible really. DeleriousZ 05-11-2004, 06:42 PM canadian... Yikes so like 4.80ish LOL snowman2005 05-11-2004, 07:01 PM prices aint gona go down either MexSiR 05-11-2004, 07:04 PM Here in mexico only two types are offered, gas is run by a monopoly Pemex: 87 octane 60 cents (US$) 93 octane 71 cents (US$) MexSiR 05-11-2004, 07:05 PM Thats is per liter. DeleriousZ 05-11-2004, 07:14 PM damn you guys got it real good down there... us canadians are gettin raped every time we gas up Sk8erprelude 05-12-2004, 10:08 AM Yeah it is snowing here but the streets are clear so i can drive my car. It is 83 cents/litre for regular and $1.09 for premium now. What the hell is going on?? And to top it all off, Alberta has the highest insurance rates also. We get the shaft from both ends here. pikkagtr 05-12-2004, 09:33 PM man in cali i gotta dish out 2.42 for 91 octane cause my damn lude is 10.6 to one i really wanna break something everytime i fill up it used to cost me $20 to fill the tank now it takes arount $25-26 dollars damn opec Jas_M 05-14-2004, 02:21 PM Here in Chicago, the gas station near where i work is charging $2.27/gallon for 87. Drive a couple miles over to my house, and it's a bit cheaper at $2.09/gallon. 91 will cost you $2.53/gallon. Ravenscool 05-17-2004, 12:55 AM I got lucky, recently found a gas station right over the NC/SC state line charging 1.87 for 93 octane, still cost me freakin 29.50 to fill up though DeleriousZ 05-17-2004, 01:03 AM cost me $43 for 89 octane yesterday... what a freaking joke scallywag 05-17-2004, 01:26 AM kelowna bc canada... don't be talkin smack.. i'll get my beaver to attack you Sweet, Kelowna is bad ass. I go snowboarding up at big white all the time. In fact half the people I know from my little po dunk town go up there every year, fun shit! but ya gas sucks, that is about the same as it is down here in Wa. I pay $2.60 for premium. Which canadian is a bit cheaper than what you pay I believe. I have heard roumer that premium is supposed to be like $3.50 U.S. in the next couple of months. DeleriousZ 05-17-2004, 01:31 AM yeah, i heard that the gas here is around $4.00 per gallon going through all the conversion stuff.. i'm too lazy to do it myself so i'll just take their word for it... yeah Kelowna is awesome.. i love it here, it was 26 celcius today then it hailed... then it was sunny again! hehehe  yeah Big white is the SHIT!! definitely the place of the interior during the winter.. get in touch when u come up here.. we can rip it up;) Tranzlogic 05-17-2004, 01:50 PM gas and go gas and go m0nee 05-17-2004, 02:56 PM Um, on average it's about $1.95 to about $2.04 here in Rhode Island. Visiting my GF one day this past week, I stopped by Ludlow, MA Gas Station on the freeway and it was $2.14 a gallon on regular... I was like fock that- took off after a 5 dolla fill = a little over 2 gallon... Made it home with the gas light flashing! Crippy 05-17-2004, 03:12 PM F*ck these gas prices ... here in jax. fl . its 2.00 for regular and 2.12 for premium , and thats the lowest prices that ive found here ... shit needs to drop again quick !! Ive been riding on E quite a bit ... artistic 05-17-2004, 06:35 PM 97 cents canadian a liter here. My mom filled up the other day and it cost her 73 something. I also looked at this sticker on the gas thing while i filled it up for her and it showed how much the gas station makes from gas. Only 3 percent of the gas they sell they get money from. The government gets 43percent :eek7: . Its messed up Polygon 05-17-2004, 06:54 PM I'm not going to complain. It costs me $30.00 to fill my 18-gallon tank on 88 octane. Once I get the GTC it will only get 91 octane or higher. Problem is that, you can't go without it; then again I am not having problems making ends meet so filling up my tank isn't a problem. It gets empty and I fill it back up. You think you have it bad, move to Europe. That is why diesel engines are so prominent out there. Petrol is just too damn expensive. YellowITR479 05-21-2004, 10:19 AM Premium is about $1.30 here in delaware YellowITR479 05-21-2004, 10:19 AM Premium is about $2.30 here in delaware Ravenscool 05-21-2004, 01:16 PM man i was about to say...$1.30! I'm movin to Delaware! But alas, $2.30 is actually worse than North Carolina DeleriousZ 05-22-2004, 03:04 AM all cars should be diesel... gas is stupid.. even diesel here reached 80 cents a litre.. it's getting rediculous Plastic_Fork 05-22-2004, 12:29 PM $2.15 / gallon for 93 octane here in Atlanta. It hasn't been that bad really.... sucks but at least it's not as bad as other places. op012503 05-23-2004, 01:33 AM interesting...well america gets oil cheaper than most western countries and although im gonna get a lot of sh!t for saying this but i think that gas prices are too low.... Im in NY and gas prices here are up to 2.50 a gallon but a liter of water is almost two bucks. a few months ago i could fill up for 1.50 and at that time water was more expensive than gas! there's just something wrong with that. If we paid 4 bucks a gallon maybe we'd get some of these godamn suv's off our streets. Can anyone think of a reason ppl are driving excursions and h1's! in the city? op012503 05-23-2004, 01:35 AM the hybrid's are really selling right now although they're still not worth it and unless gas prices top 4 bucks they wont be DeleriousZ 05-23-2004, 02:27 AM i say lower gas prices, ban suv's and trucks on main roads unless towing, hauling or taking a load of dirt or something.. there's just no need to have big ass trucks driving around on our streets.. as an example.. no more than 5 months ago, a professor from one of the local colleges was driving home after a hard day's work.. when a 2003 ford f150 lost control in the lane headding the opposite way lost control, hit the median and came flying over the barrier, landing on the driver's side of the minivan, instantly chrushing and killing the young professor. her husband and two young children now have to live without their mother/wife because of something that in my opinion should not have been on the road in the first place. had it been a car or even a minivan, the most that would have happened is the vehicle would have rode along the barrier, and slowed traffic up for a while. but because it was a truck, 3 people are living their lives forever changed trucks and suv's are stupid, dangerous, and a waste of gas F23A4Racer750IL 05-23-2004, 05:19 PM hey at least most of us have civics and integras. it could be worse. this is when im glad i have a honda.
