96 spyder gs-t 4G63... why would I have oil in my throttle body/ before and after the plate/ but none from K&N filter to the BOV. I also have had intake manifold cleaned for the carbon build-up. I replaced the PCV valve thinking it might be letting oil through there... still have oil... :eek7:

could be the turbo going bad, is there smoke/oil coming out your exhaust? check your turbo

It's not the turbo....oil flows down from the throttle body to the BOV area... none between the turbo through the intercooler up to the BOV. Oil is clean... All bolts etc are tight around the throttle body... no gasket leaks..

There is only signs of oil from the BOV to the throttlebody and inside the intake manifold. The oil is only down by the BOV cause of gravity!? my guess anyway,

I have seen what you are talking about in tons os DSMs I forget what causes it, but I dont think its bad, i had some oil in my inner cooler so just took it out and cleaned it out with some gass. Your IC probally has some it there too.

get an oil catch can... whats probably happening is oil is comming out of your valve cover and into your manifold, why its coming out your TB i have no clue... either that or your turbo is spitting oil!

the oil in the intercooler problem is the turbo! oil is coming out the turbo and into the intercooler!

The only thing that can cause oil in the intake at the TB, but not before the BOV, is the PCV. IF you've ever had a valve cover leak, you konw how much oil gets blown out of there. The PCV valve is just one big valve cover leak ;) Still though, you shouldntsee puddles of it in there, just a bunch of sooty crap on the TB, especially the intake side.

Maybe the PCV valve that replaced the old one is crappy also... i'll get another new one and see if that changes anything. Again there is no sign of oil in, before, or after the intercooler... turbo is just fine. Thanks for the help guys.

Again, a perfectly function PCV valve will put oil in the intake. Its jsut the way it works. I have eliminated my PCV valve, and my EGR, so my BJs intake stays shiny ;)
