i wana drop a 1.8L dohc in my 93 ford

my car is a manual ford 1.9 sohc and beats most civics and i was looking at a mazda 1.8L dohc and a ford 1.8L dohc to increase power. which would be better and how would i install it..... more suggestions on engines would be appreciated

The 1.8 is a great motor, but a lot of work to put in a LX, You'll need a GT donar car. Look into the 2.0 SPI swap, it's very easy and cheap.
