well.... owned my 94 G20 now for 9 months, for 8 months it ran like a champ finally happy I purchased a descent used car, until 2 weeks ago, coming back from easter and all the sudden the stick pops out of 5th gear and wont go back in, only grinds. 1-4 gears work fine, sound like the tranny? I was some what ok with that considering I still had 4 gears, right... then I go out to go to work and it wont start, wont turn over, wont even fire, not even a starter noise, only thing that happens is the electric comes on. Its not the battery, still have plenty of power to everything. Is it the... ignition, starter, alternator....??? what do you guys think. Any help would be greatly appreciated

5th gear pop out. Its a coming problem with early G20s. Search around www.g20.net

seems like u have 2 problems. the won't start part could be problems with either ur starter, fuel pump, alternator, or battery so it'll be pretty easy to fix. however, the 5th poping out is going to cost u big bucks.

i had the similiar problem with the p10 that i used to own. all of a sudden i lost 1st and 2nd gear. took it to a tranny place and found that part of a bearing broke off and got stuck in the 1st and 2nd shifting box. i was lucky that it didn't get into the gears, otherwise i'd be looking at a bigger bill. my suggestion is to take it to a tranny expert.
