The european V6 (it's V6 now) has 204 hp in Golf IV
VR6 was in Golf III here in europe and it had 174 hp... It was my first car but i bought the audi almost the same time so this golf VR6 had to go.... anyway it was quite nice , i had 16" BBS wheels on it , all the badges taken off and a CL badge to make other drivers nervous when i was driving 230 km/h on the autobahn :finger:

Acually, the 204 hp VR6 is scheduled to be out in May of '02.
The answer to the original question, as of now, on the road, is 174 hp VR6 and 180 hp out of the new 1.8T. The earlier 1.8T was rated at 150 hp.

OMIGOSH!

The 2002 Golf GTI is GOD!!!

I'd tell the story again, but my test drive is well-told here.

What a rush! I want one!
