My 94 3.2l Engine Taps At Low Rpm Then Goes Away When Rpm Rises.

I had a similar issue with my 93, 3.2. My mechanic changed the timing belt, the timing belt pretensioner, and some pulleys. The noise then went away.

Could be the timing belt tensioner or sticky lifters. Sears sells a really cool automotive stethoscope for about 15 bucks. That will help you localize the noise. The tensioner noise will be loudest at the front of the engine on the passenger side timing cover.
