98 Camry spoiler lightDavid Powell 05-01-2004, 08:19 PM Hey all. Does anyone know of a source to get a replacement spoiler brake light for the 98 Camry, with an aftermarket spoiler. The dealer installed a NON Toyota spoiler on the car when we bought it new, and they dont stock the light. I cant get my car passed in safety inspection till i get it fixed. A new spoiler is almost $500, or repair the trunk and install a window light almost $500 :banghead: Thanks DP Brian R. 05-01-2004, 10:17 PM Find out who made the spoiler and order a replacement light from them. yotatechie04 05-02-2004, 08:20 AM You could always take the bulb out and go to your local auto part store with it...find a match. David Powell 05-02-2004, 11:26 AM I took the light unit out of the spoiler, to the dealer because two types of spoiler were installed. One was an OEM, the other was aftermarket. It has 31 LEDS on a bar strip that is sealed. The company that installed the spoiler is out of bussiness now. I will see if i can get a spoiler off a totaled car. Ther is a lot of those aftermarket spoilers out there. Thanks for the input folks. yotatechie04 05-02-2004, 12:35 PM Ah, I see. I understand what you're talking about now. Yeah, you will have to replace the whole spoiler if the dealer won't hook you up with a new LED bar. Those things are damned expensive too... Goose bumps. :evillol: yotatechie04 05-04-2004, 02:27 AM I am between a rock and something hard. :) Yotatechie04, that is one wild looking Camry. Goose bumps. :evillol: Thanks David. That picture wasn't originally intended to look like that, I just planned on taking it, and putting the words "1999 Toyota Camry" on it for my sig on here, but I took it, checked out the negatives, and seen that picture, and it looked so evil, I just had to put it on here. What's your Camry look like? Got any pics? David Powell 05-10-2004, 07:34 PM Just a up date on the spoiler light led problem. I found a web site that has the light. It list the light number stamped on the light itself as well as gives some pics. The web site is www.spoilerlights.com Ordered mine today. $34.99 +s&h. :) :) :) Joe W 05-10-2004, 09:12 PM Thanks for the heads-up on the website! yotatechie04 05-11-2004, 09:16 AM Glad to hear that you got it figured out! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
