trying to check the fluid in my 92 LX manual wagon with a 1.9 L engine. Looks like much fluid has leaked out and I do not want to drive it as I think the fluid level is very low. have removed the speedometer cable and the speed sensor retaining bolt and clip but can not seem to remove the speed sensor. What is the deal? The drawing in the book show what looks like a gear that should pull out. any advice? I am in the mountains very far from any service help.

yeah its just a pain in the ass. get a pliers, or slip jaw pliers and grab it, twist and rock it a bit and just lossen it up, it does just pull out.

Make sure to check the trans seals where the cv shafts go into the tranny,trans fluid does'nt evaporate.
