i filled up the gas tank today. how do i know? gas overflowed from the tank. however, when i started the truck the gauge sits at 3/4 full. what is the cause of this?

a bad sending unit.

do a search here or read though my FAQ's.

it is a 36.00 part, but you have to drop the tank to replace it.

I see you have a 96, I'm not sure if you do or not on a 96.
