ok im planning on buying a universal muffler for my 95 SOHC neon sport and i know the stock muffler is not welded its hold on by a clamp my question is if i buy a universal muffler is it possible to install the new muffler with a clamp like the stock muffler or do i have to acually weld the new muffler on and if i can install with a clamp should i buy a muffler with a 2.25 inlet to clamp on or do i need a different size?

your gonna have to weld if you want it properly secured and no leaks. it's only about 25 bucks to weld at a shop, try Midas.

probably need the same pipe size on your car, what kind of muffler you getting? Most performance universals have 2.25 inlet.

i would suggest Magnaflow stainless steel universal or DynoMax Super Turbo Muffler universal. Low price but great deep sound and not too loud.

for reviews on products suggest you checkout http://www.carreview.com/reviewscrx.aspx and click on exhaust, and then on muffler.

very good honest reviews.

2.25 should be fine just have them weld a flang on the other side just in case you want to take it off

get a 2.25 it should slide over but if it doesn't just zip a little slot in the pipe so you can squees it together.
