turbo zkhfromhb 04-28-2004, 03:54 PM hey guys the reson the new z wazint a twin turbo is the new environmental restrictions in japan. everyone knows turbos are more polluting than N/A's. i'd hate to say this but a V8 is much more likely that a twin turbo system, sorry BP2K2Max 04-29-2004, 12:35 PM the R35 GTR skyline is supposd to be a TT VQ. Avatardt 05-01-2004, 10:38 AM I dont think they will have a turbo either, but I would not be suprised to see a roots style supercharger on them, making somewhere about 350hp/tq in 05, or 06. khfromhb 05-03-2004, 11:02 PM ya i have heard that the new gt-r is supposed to have a twin turbo vq35 but i dont think that engine will make it to the us due to our strict environmental laws. also, roots style blowers are for drag racing, if nissan did supercharge the z(they wont)they'de use a centrifigal style blower. khfromhb 05-03-2004, 11:06 PM in japan vehicles over 5.5 millin yen have lighter pollution laws, this is why the new gt-r will get a vq35dett and also why the z wont. khfromhb 05-03-2004, 11:16 PM also guys, dont think that i think nissan will toss in a v8 i was just saying that a twin turbo is very unlikely nissan350ztt 05-12-2005, 02:46 AM Turbo's actually will make passing emissions easier, since the exhaust gases are basically being filtered twice. It had nothing to do with emissions, it had to do with Nissan deciding on what happened in the past with the 300ZX TT. That car bombed as far as sales, they didn't want to do that again. The Infiniti GTR will either have a VQ32DETT (brand new, co-developed with Cosworth) or a VQ35DETT. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
