what would you bring with you??

I live in oklahoma and I just bought a 1974 mgbgt that is in new york, I plan to fly there to pick it up and drive it back 1600 miles home. if you were in my situation, what tools would you take with you? I suppose carrying on some tools on the plane may be a problem these days. dunno.

the car seems like a good runner and the previous owner is getting the hoses, thermostat and belts replaced before I get there. What would you put in your bag to take for insurance? any help appreciated. dave
