I have a 2000 Clio 1.4. Its got a problem. Sometimes when I am
driving along my foot will be on the accelorator but the engine and
revs just die but them cuts straight back in and is fine. No warning
lights come on dash board or anything. Also when idling it sometimes
starts to cough and splutter as if its going to cut out but if i rev
it its ok and fine from then on.
I have taken it to a garage who changed the Oxygen sensor
(lambdasund sensor??) and also spark plugs but this hasnt helped at
all. This cost me a fortune so would like some help before taking it
back to garage. Also the car does not start. it will turn over but not fire but after a while it does.

Any help would be great!

it sounds like you hve a tdc (top dead centre ) sensor fault take it to a renult garage and ask 4 a renault contribution if its under 100k.
