true
although i'm not even sure it will work if you have a cat. when it cuts the engine spark so it can "flood", the cat might restrict the the fuel from getting to the rear of the car, or just burn up the fuel in the hot catylist all together

Re: Exaust Flames
They're not supposed to work properly with a cat in place..
But ive talked to people who have had them and they havent complained of melting the bumper or paint.. Just have your tips angled down a little like factory, or run them past the bumper an inch or two and you should be ok, as long as your not using it constantly

Re: Exaust Flames
they are not street legal, trust me it wont ruin your engine because out of your engine comes out fire, and instead this "flamethrowe" thing makes it come out of your exhaust, the only bad things i could think of are: could ruin exhaust, anything around it like paint bumper, etc. and thats all i could think of. and yeah i seen that mustang on pimp my ride, i seen all the episodes a couple of times, so far all of them still turned out shit boxes, only one i am interested is that pontiac tonight on at 9:30 because its an 81, and thats very close to the one i want as a project car a 6.6 liter 79'...

Ive had some flames out of my exuast a few times.. after i advanced the timing... running no cats and lifting at 5000rpm might cause that sometimes but it happens on random.. i think that price is right for that flamethrower thingy.. just dont do it to much ..it would be cool to make it seem like it happens natrually.. which is even more cool
