Will not start at allKenny734 04-20-2004, 03:08 PM :banghead: I checked my engine codes and I changed those parts and the car still wont start I changed the crackshaft sensor, EGR valve, and O2 Sensor. The car would like hard to start, gobble up gas like crazy, would like back fire, keeps dieing out, black smoke, run like crap. I was told it could be the timing belt, but I want a second oppinion.its a 95 neon single cam. drag1320neon 04-20-2004, 04:14 PM does it turn over at all drag1320neon 04-20-2004, 04:15 PM ohhhhhhhh ha! i think i know you said backfire, soun ds like you jumped timing and bent some valves Syndrome51 04-20-2004, 10:00 PM I played with timing on my twin cam and my car did some strange sound like a chainsaw or a CRX. It's probably bad timing, remove the timing cover and look for loose belt. You should also check for good timing ( the 2 notches of the crankshaft should be alligned when the #1 piston (passenger side) is at TopDeadCenter ) if you can see them Anyways.
