Still Need Help!!!
Ok I'm Back.
Now I have another problem. Here Goes....
When I start my car it turns right on but the idle drop really low then shoots back up. Once It comes up it idles fine until I drive the car a bit and stop at a stop sign or light. Then the car starts to shake and the idles really drops low. I'd say to about 200 rpm. It never gets low enough to actually shut the car off but it shakes like a B*tch. And its only when I come to a stop. When I put the car in park the idle goes back up to just under 1 grand.
Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated. All the other help you guys have given me has been very helpful....

sounds like your torque converter is going out... since you said you put it in park then the idle comes back up i'm guessing you have a auto, also check your tranny fluid!

Yes I do Have an automatic. And I did check the tranny fluid. Shes good. Its to the top hole in the dip stick. What exactly would the torque converter being bad do? And is there any way to find out if it is bad?
Man if anyone lives in the Southern Jersey area and can fix my car I will pay them. As long as the price is lower then what a regular mechanic will charge me

Hey I was just in the car and I noticed that the car does it really bad when I first stop. Once I come to a complete stop it drops really low and then goes back up to about 600rpm which is still low. Also It will still do it if the car is in nuetral.
Do you think its a fuel delivery problem?
I changed the fuel rail from the 95 engine that I had to the 98 engine which is in the car now. I Noticed the 95 fuel rail had a line for the fuel in and a line for the fuel return. With the fuel rail off the 98 the car was wouldnt start up everytime and would only start when I relieved the pressure in the fuel rail. So that took car of that problem.
Could it be maybe a bad sensor? Idle sensor?
Dirty Fuel filter? Bad fuel injectors.
Any Ideas you guys have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Still Need Help!!!
Check your throttle body sensor...I think that is what it is called. My friend had a major rpm problem and it was that.

Re: Still Need Help!!!
This rpm problem he had, was it where his rpm would shoot up sky high for no reason, without pushing on the gas? Mine does it to me when i put the car in neutral.

Re: Still Need Help!!!
check your tps, and also look for vacuum leaks. those are often the things that cause idle and throttle problems. also go through the 6 bazillion things that joe posted haha. it'll keep you busy and is good info.

Re: Still Need Help!!!
TPS, ISC, and TB are mainly the cause of the problems. If you don't know what those are now, you will by the time you find your answer on tuners. Good luck, get creative with searching.

Re: Still Need Help!!!
Your CEL on?
I think the dropping down and then shooting back up could be the o2 sensor (front) but the shaking does not have anything todo with the o2 sensor.

Re: Still Need Help!!!
The car will shake if it's idling around 200 RPM.

JoeWagon I did look through almost all of them. But alot of the people have problems with the idle surging high. My idle drops low and only does it when the car is warm. When the car is cold it does not happen.I have heard that the coolant temp sensor could play a part in it. I changed the coolant temp sensor and the switch. I do not know if it made a diiference though because It was late yesterday when I finally got everything all together(changed the throttlebody and both sensors that are on it, I cleaned the throttle body out very well, changed the CTS and the switch)
But anyway I have not had the chance to figure out if is fixed because after I did that the idle went up really really high and now is jumping from 1300 rpm to 2300 rpm and just keeps doing that. A buddy of mine said that while I was at the parts store he sprayed starting fluid into my intake manifold while the throttle body was out. I dont know how much he sprayed but could that be the reason for the idle acting up now?
Any info would help. Thanks guys.
