Re: new speakers...
my opinion...I would rather have either the kicker or the infinity, leaning more towards infinity, especially because its for the front door speakers. My stereo setups usually go with the highest frequency/quality in the front, and the lowest frequency in the back, ALL individually controlled via EQ's.

Re: new speakers...
I would go with Kicker, im gettin the Kicker K525 5 1/4" speakers, for my 97 escort. Apparently Kicker is one of the best brands out there....so I've heard. Also some helpful info for if you get Subwoofers, Kicker Solo Barics, are unbelievably sweet. I'm puttin two 12's in my escort.

Re: new speakers...
LoL, not sure what kind of box I'm gonna use but I'm gonna push them as far as they can go before they shatter the windows, distort the sound, or blow the speakers themselves. What kind of box do you think I should use??

Re: new speakers...
box to use...not quite sure how to describe this box, so here's a rough sketch
Top View of chambers:

|.................|..|................|
|.................|..|................|
|_________|..|_________|
......sub......port.....sub
Front View:

|.................|...|................|
|......SUB.....|...|......SUB....|
|.................|...|................|
|_________|__|_________|
..................port
Ignore the dots...Anywhere you see a "." is just air, but had to put them in there to make the drawing work...
The port is about 3" wide and is as tall as the box. The opening in the back of each chamber is about 2-3" wide. Does this make any sense? You can buy this type of box premade...I don't know why, but this is the most awesome sounding box I've ever heard!
