our rear differential came unglued the other day and we are having difficulty locating a replacement. does anyone know where a feller might find one. my gear ratio is 3.73 4x4 4dr 10 bolt. even to have an idea what other make and models have the same would help broaden my search. thanks

I'm sorry guy - other than local salvage or LKQ yards, I can't help you here. However, I have a 99 Yuk with 110K miles. My rear diff started whining a few months ago. Its full of fluid, but still whines badly. Did your rear diff begin to whine before it bit the dust?

Yes it did start whining about 4-5000 before it had a melt down. It even started sounding like metal to metal when we would go around a sharp curve. I belive if we had pulled it down before all that started we could have gotten by a lit cheaper. As many of these things that seem to be tearing up maybe GM should consider a recall.
