I own a Grand Cherokee 1993. 6cyls. 4000 cc.

Was on the highway and the Jeep just turn off.
Ingnition gave CheckEngine but nothing else. It cranks and cranks but would not able to start engine.

After this forum and thanks to Jeepman600@aol.com; were able to find the computer codes diagnotics by checkengine blinks
and beeping codes.

They gave us exactly what the problem was: "idler air speed motor" stuck.

For more info about all kind of errors.

I had a similar problem. Crank but no start. Using this tread, I found out it was a CPS (Cranshaft Position Sensor). Saved a bundle by running it down myself using this info. Thanks to all who have posted. Long live the Jeep. (dsliver-I didn't even have to consult the great Oracle)
