My 2001 Passat Antitheft alarm is misbehaving. It keeps going off in every half hour. Its almost 11pm here. So any immediate help is appreciated. What can I do?

Re: Urgent !! 2001 Passat Antitheft Alarm keeps going off

The only thing I could suggest is to disconnect the battery. Mine went off and I had no choice but to disconnect the battery as to not wake up the entire neighborhood. It's not a fix but it'll hold you over until you can get some real help. Sorry!...

Re: Urgent !! 2001 Passat Antitheft Alarm keeps going off

Most alarm problems seem to be caused from trouble with a door latch switch or broken wires where the harness passes from the door to the body at the hinges. Have you noticed that the door ajar indicator or dome lights aren't functioning properly?

2001 130ps passat alarm

2001 passat alarm constantly going off, for no reason, did you ever resolve the issue, have tried blanking off the sensors and have no indication of open doors etc. HELP, the only way of stopping it is by disconnecting the battery, fantastic security, but getting fed up of reseting the clocks.

Hi there
I just had my lockbox replaced as it was defective. The dealer said that the alarm could go off for no reason due to this problem. My problem was the dome lights and the door ajar indicator didn't work. Now my dome lights work but my door adjar indicator is still not functioning. Boschmann,,I never thought to have them check for brocken wires,,,,is there a quick and easy way for me to check.
Thanks
