In my Sierra 1500 I have a bout 1000 miles left on the warranty.
Is the radio in the vehicle covered that long too?
If so the display died......want to go have it fixed.

As long as you are under the original 3/36000 warranty it is covered.

If you have an extended GMPP warranty it may not be - it depends on how good your warranty administrator is.

I bought the extended warranty before the original warranty ran out on my Sierra. My clock was staying on after I opened my door with the key off and the dealership thought the radio was the cause. They said the radio was covered but I would have to pay shipping. Turned out it was the door switch instead of the radio so I never had to get one ordered.
