Exclamation Not starting correctly

Yeah hey guys. I was wondering if anybody knew what this problem could be. Whenever I start my car, it starts fine, yet it will just start up real quick then stall out unless I give it gas. After it starts it will usually keep running, but it won't idle correctly, it will rev up a little bit, then almost stall. Once the car warms up it is fine. I don't know what the problem is. If anybody has any advice, please let me know.

not starting correctly

I had a mk2 golf that did the same thing. If it was cold outside it would have to warm up before it ran right. Not sure what the problem is. Maybe normal wear and tear?
