What are VDC and Homelink options?

I never heard of Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and HomeLink Universal Transceiver. What do these options do on the new Z?

Can't say anything about the VDC (would love to know what the heck is that anyway) but the Homelink is the three-button "trainable" garage-opener (standard in Maximas), one thing I really miss in the 2001 Audi TT

Thumbs up VDC

VDC is an acronym for Vehicle Dynamic Control. This an anti-yaw skid control system. It is assumed that, like TCS (Traction Control), it can be manually disabled.

Question VDC

And that would be the reason for Nissan not to include VDC in the "have it all" Touring version? I thought it will be vaulable to have it there

It does come on it, but only if you get the manual transmission. I believe if you look at the option packages it only comes on the "Touring Model 6MT" and "Track Model 6MT".

Correcto!!! VDC and TCS come in the Touring pkg. VDC helps stabilize the car, while TCS helps to put more traction on the pavement. They are not alike.:smoka:
