does anyone know how to correct excessive wind noise at top of windshield due to method bmw used in this model to vent air through engine and out. sounds like the sun roof but is not. the dealer admitted this was a problem with the 97. no one seems to know how to quieten the noise. it is most noticeable at speeds of 30 to 55 mph. after that road noise takes over. help.dg

Get it checked out you may have had your wind shield installed improperly the tinyest mm off will give you this dreaded noise just take it to a local BMW dealer let them check it out...i also experence it in my BMW 740il 1998
