Caravan Fan stays on!

My wife just came home in our 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan. The fan won't go off when the key is off! I tried turning it back on and putting in gear, but that didn't help. The fan has been on for about thirty minutes. Any suggestions of fixes? Thanks!

On many vehicles, the rad fan will stay on even when the ignition is turned off until a certain temp is reached, then it will shut off.

Caravan Fan stays On!

Thanks for the reply! Now the battery is dead! How much to replace the part mentioned? The van has a remote start, is this a problem? The fan just stayed on until the baterry gave out. Any other suggestions?
Thanks

The fan relay needs to be replaced. It is located behind the air filter assembly (air filter assembly has to be removed) and screwed onto the main frame rail. As a temporary solution you can remove the fuse located under the hood, drivers side to shut the fan off but put the fuse back in before you start the vehicle or engine light will come on.
