2000 GC SE Blinking lights

Why are the odometer/gear shift lights blinking in time with a click behind the dash? My tail lights are also blinking. Is this a relay I could fix or take it to a dealer? Thanks for your help!!!!

Re: Blinking lights

This has happened to me as well. I have not been able to fix it as of yet but it is all connected to the car alarm system. Have you disconnected you battery as of late? If you have you may need to reset your codes. Ride on, digimon

Blinking lights

Hey did you ever figure out the problem? My '99 just started doin the samething but i can't figure out whats wrong, had a mechanic look at it and said it was in the RKE, but it would cost 65 bucks an hour to find and fix. Any help would be great.

Re: Blinking lights

Just before this started, I used the keyless entry to lock it once, but then the key to open it the next morning. When I finally remembered (I don't carry it as a rule) to use the keyless entry again -I cycled it through lock/unlock a few times- the lights quit blinking.

Thanks Dave, but when you had this problem did the lights quit blinking when you turned on the headlights? thats what mine does, blinks with the lights off or on park. and stops when you turn on the headlights. otherwise they just blink all the time when the van is running.

Thanks,
Jim T.

Ok i tried what you suggested, but that didnt work either. i even tried cycling thru locking and unlocking with the key. And tried the red led button located under the dash. i guess if i cant get this thing resolved i will have to take it to a dealer. also have you seen any other posts on the net about this? thanks
