exhaust
Just a quick question. What are the pos and neg of an H pipe exhaust. I have 2 1/2 inch pipe a catalytc converter and no mufflers. can I do better?

i would say that the benifits of a true dual H-pipe exhaust on a third gen would not be worth the tremendous trouble and lack of ground clearance to install them. the system you have right now is probly as good as youll need. perhaps upgrade to a single 3in pipe if you ever step up performance.

H-pipes are definatly not worth the trouble.. H pipes are a mustang thing.. you'd be better off going true dual.. but even then it's not worth it.. 89iroc was right, a single 3in. pipe is the best way to go

Couldnt tell ya.. Supposed to make it sound better or something.. Never seen one on a camaro though.. they're big on mustangs

equalizing the pressure and flow in each pipe is what it does, or somethin like that. i heard it was a real big trick in the old days and freed up between 20-40hp. can't see any possiblity of it being done on any f-body 82-02

well, i think those power figures are a bit optiomistic, but yes, it is to improove scavaging and exhaust flow by balancing the pressure between the two pipes to the rear.
