Question A/C filter location

I have a 2003 Caravan with a 2.4 liter engine and need help locating the air conditioner filter. Can someone please tell me how to get to it? Is it easy to replace? Thanks.

A/C filter?? I build these every day and have to see an A/C filter. Could you possibly mean the AIR filter?

It's actually called the cabin air filter. It keeps dirt out of the a/c system. Auto part stores sell it for about $40. The dealer wants $40 just for labor. I know my Caravan has this filter because it's supposed to be replaced at 12,000 miles according to my Caravan's maintenance interval. I changed the regular air filter, that was no problem.

I don't have the specifics on your vehicle in front of me, but to my knowledge the cabin air filter, if so equipped, is sandwiched between the heater core and A/C core under the dash. Not many vehicles are equipped with these though. I'll check ALLDATA at work and get back to you...

Well...ALLDATA wasn't much help. Possibly because we don't get the complete disc set being a strictly undercar shop. It did mention that if it is equipped it's located below the glove box most likely behind some plastic shrouding. Good luck, Sorry this one's stumping me. I can't find a diagram or any useful knowledge anywhere.
