Soft Top Hardware For 96-98 Tracker

Hello just recently I purchased a used 1998 tracker. Although the tracker runs good, and I feel really thankful to have transportation again, it doesn't have a top of any kind, nor the soft top hardware. If anyone could help me with locating some used soft top hardware, and a used soft top in fairly good condition please let me know. I am a single mom, and I can't afford to pay too too much for either item, but I will be happy to consider any reasonable offer.
I thank you so much in advance.
Much Peace & kindness from The Lone Star State!

Not sure about used stuff but you may check with JCWhitney online. Occasionally they offer these other wise the top from GM is well over a grand. You won't have much luck in a salvage yard either since these baby's are usually stripped of the alternator, ecm, and any other high moving parts then crushed as there is not much market for tracker parts salvagewise these days. It may be different in your city but in phoenix they are basically a throw away vehicle since there are so many variations due to them being manufactured from foreign parts.

best of luck with your search, you may also want to check the autotrader out and see if anyone is parting one out that would be your best bet.

Well they don't have the parts listed in their online catalog, only cars and trucks for sale. It will be a hit and miss as well, the only way to see the parts and accessories for sale is to pay the magazine fee at the convienient store or where ever you can by periodicals from your locale. Do some searches for "parting out geo" "parting out tracker" ect on google, altavista, yahoo, overture, and msnsearch.

you can get a brand new soft top from best top for around 300 bucks , the only place to get the hardware is from the dealer or a salvage/junk yard , you might even check out ebay , hope this helps you out
