89 sierra dash lights outbladerogers33 04-03-2004, 08:04 AM does anybody know if the dash lights are somehow tied in with the parking lamp switch above the headlight switch? my brake lights, reverse lights, and signal lights work but the parking lamps do not. as well as the dash lights will not come on. fuses are fine. dont know if the bulbs are ok because i cant seem to get to them even though i pulled the instrument cluster off of the dash. the other thing is that the bulbs behind the vent positioner and the temperature control are good, but do not come on at all either . amac209 04-03-2004, 10:53 PM check the fuse, check the wiring, check the switch. park lights are the small brown wire at the switch. fuzzypuppy 04-05-2004, 01:47 AM Holy cow I thought I was the only one that this happened to. I found the problem to be in the switch, the upper half, myself being a tinker'er took the switch apart and found the spring loading bad at the contacts, I simply rebent the spring to make contact again when the switch was engaged, but then I was on a camping trip miles from anywhere so I really had no other choice. though that was about 2 years ago and it still is working, I would recomend buying a new switch. good luck. bladerogers33 04-05-2004, 11:08 PM thanks, that worked perfect. the thing was melted, but i managed to bend it up and clean it Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
