car runs kinda crappy when cold97GSTspyder 04-02-2004, 10:43 PM this is normal right? like after i park the car for the night, and go out in the morning and start it...i usually let it warm up a bit then drive it...and it's a little difficult to shift from gear to gear...also the clutch engages a bit rough but this all goes away after about 15min of driving the car...my dad told me this is perfectly normal but i just want some reassurance. thanks for the help. ashah000 04-03-2004, 11:56 AM Its normal, I believe the shifting is in the owners manual and there it says its normal. RiceRocket18 04-03-2004, 01:22 PM it's totally normal. the piston moving inside the cylinder works the best and most frictionless when the motor oil reach a certain temperature. so before that, you'll notice some loss of power.
