Question How do you reset power sliding door?

It seems to have a mind of its own. It works for a while then quits. I have pulled the side panel off and unplugged the "brain" but it only works for a while. Is there an easier way to do this?

make sure the contacts on the door and the jam are clean. corrosion will interfere with operation of the door

Re: How do you reset power sliding door?

The reset goes something like this.

In the fuse panel by pass. front door is the Mall/PGM fuse. Shut off the PSD at the overhead console and pull the fuse. After 30 sec. re-install the fuse and manually open & close the door. Turn the PSD back on and hit one of the switches to open the door. It should be reset now.

I agree with bmfz06, take some fine sandpaper and rubbing alcohol and clean those brass buttons on the lower front of the door, as well as the plate they touch when closed. Most PSD problems are caused by them being dirty and corroded.
