Unhappy 95 Montero stalls

Hi, picked up a 1995 Montero LS last month and its been great until last monday. Ran the gas tank almost dry and thin refilled, shortly after that it began to stall and die each time you slowwed to a stop. It would restart and do it again at the next stop. Anyone have any thoughts? Gas filter, water in the gas?
Thanks in advance

stalling montero

my 95 montero isn't stalling (yet) but will all of a sudden become 'starved' of fuel and slow to almost a stop until I gradually let up on the throttle until the fuel 'catches' again and the truck does this again, fuel, no fuel, fuel, no fuel all the way to my destination. Always feels like it's going to leave me stranded, hasn't yet. My problem is intermittant however, only occurs once every month or so. I installed a new TPS but it happened again. I'm looking for an answer to my prob also before it does leave me stranded. (I tried the gasoline antifreeze, seemed to work @ 1st, but happened again.) Related to your prob?????

I also have a 95 Montero LS, and it just started to stall at idle. As long as I have my foot on the gas it will run. This is an intermitten problem, it will suddenly go away, few dayss and return after the car has been ran for awhile. If you or anyone comes up with a solution please let me know. Thanks.
