first, go back and make sure ALL the plug wires are going to the right plugs.

second, is it a 4 or 6 cylinder?

the ignition module on the 6 cylinders has been known to drop two cylinders and thus only run on 4. the 6 has three ignition coils mounted on it with each coil operating two cylinders, and if it drops cylinders it'll drop two from the same coil.

you can check this by starting the car and removing a plug wire with something insulated so that it doesnt shock you, listening for a change in how it runs. if it sounds different, that cylinder is firing, if it doesnt change, then its not firing. put that wire back on and repeat this for the others. make notes of which are firing and which are not.

post back with what you find out.

hope this helps
