Re: door panel removal

Did you get the 2 at the base (below the map pockets) through the carpet?

Re: door panel removal

Yes, the 2 screw's at the bottom were removed. But the thing I'm worried about is at the top of the door by the window control's and on the side panel seemed to be stuck. I don't want to yank on it an break something. Maybe I should invest in that door panel removal tool..Thanx

Re: door panel removal

I'm having problems geting the door panel off also (96 Grand Caravan). All screwdrivers tried for the two screws through the map pocket seem to spin. Are these torx head screws and if so, what size? Thanks a lot for any help.

Thanks. I got that one.

I finally got the panel off. My first try with a phillips screwdriver was unsuccessful because the tip was too small for the bottom screws. I had thought it was a torx head - it wasn't.

I was surprised to see the cables in the regulator pushing out of the cover over the regulator. I was told by the Dodge parts dept. that the regulator usually breaks before the motor. I've found the part at an auto parts store for $120 vs. the $176 at the dealership (motor + regulator).

Now to just do some research to determine installation instructions for attaching the cables to the window pane and guides.
