Quits Running

My 1996 T&C stops running while i am going down the road. Rpm's drop to 0 for a secong and then it will go right back up to whatever they were before, sometimes it all together dies and I put it in neutral and it fires right up and i keep on rollin, Can anyone help?

have somebody look at your transmission. my 97 had similar problems and the transmission had to be replaced.

Now lets not think the worst yet those symtoms are the same as for a bad fuel pump. Of coarse we all know how bad these tranys are. All of us that own the a604s drive around with that hanging over our heads. But lets hope for the best. It may even be a clogged filter. Ride On, digimon

My 96 T&C did the same sort of thing a year ago. There was a code for the Automatic Shutdown Relay. I replaced the relay (~$10.00) and never experienced the problem again. The relay is located in the fuse box under the hood on the driver's side.

I have a T&C 1996 with exactly the same problem, did you find the solution to the problem
