Discerning between the 1.7L and 1.8 enginesanabria1 03-29-2004, 04:01 PM I have a 93 Acura Integra LS and I was wondering how I could find out if I have a 1.7 or a 1.8L engine. That may seem like a lame question, but looking at the engine and the literature I got with the car, I have no way of obviously finding out. TIA for any help. Steven hitr99 03-29-2004, 05:42 PM just look at the stamp on the block. im pretty sure its a 1.8. the 1.7's came in the 93 gsr sanabria1 03-29-2004, 06:45 PM Where on the block? And what do you mean "GSR" (possible newbie alert)? I have an "LS". sanabria1 03-29-2004, 06:58 PM Thanks, folks. EliteFreke sent me a note saying that the location of the stamp is the front of the block. Also, the valve cover for a 1.7 has "DOHC VTEC" on it. I appreciate everyone's help on this.
