I have a 87 Pathfinder that's in great shape but it has a 3 spd auto trans and I would like to swap it for an overdrive model. I understand the RE4R01A transmission from an 88 -90 is a bolt in replacement. Can anyone confirm this? I've seen some talk about the transmission being an electronic shift and I don't want to get invloved with wiring another computer into the vehicle. Any advice for the swap would be appreciated.
